Mo’Saci Science

Our story

A little magic, a lot of science

Mo’ Saci Science exists for one simple reason: the technology that tells us where things are is genuinely wonderful, and almost nobody explains it in a way that feels human. We are here to fix that.

🎩

Who is Saci?

Saci is a mythological character in Brazilian folklore. He is a one-legged, bi-racial youngster who smokes a pipe and wears a red magical cap. As people who build with innovative technology and science, we think it is essential to stay open to the diversity of ideas and people, and to never lose that childlike magic and curiosity that leads to breakthrough ideas.

In other words, give us Mo’ Saci in science. MoSaciScience.

MoSaciScience is not Mosaic Science.

If you are looking for the award-winning long-form magazine, Mosaic Science, you want mosaicscience.com. Easy mix-up. Different team, different mission.

What we cover

We started with the technology we find most quietly magical: GPS, and the wider family of satellite systems that power it. From the science of how GPS works to the practical world of GPS tracking, our goal is the same every time: take something that sounds complicated and make it click.

You will find clear explainers, a growing glossary, and friendly, well-researched field notes on fleet tracking, asset tracking, geofencing, and how GPS compares to technologies like BLE and RFID.

Stay curious

The best ideas come from people who never quite stopped asking why.

🔬

Respect the science

We explain things simply, but we get the facts right and cite real sources.

🌍

Welcome every mind

Diverse ideas and people are where breakthroughs actually come from.

Keep the magic

Wonder is not the opposite of rigour. It is what powers it.
